International Cricket Council unkind to Brisbane in 2015 World Cup draw
The 2015 Cricket World Cup starts on February 14 with Sri Lanka taking on New Zealand in Christchurch and England facing Australia in Melbourne.
With the likes of Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide have got all the big games, Brisbane was unlucky to lose out on the major clashes as some would feel that they were not given a fair quota of games in the competition.
The Gabba in Brisbane has been allotted three games, but none of the knockout matches, in the 2015 Cricket World Cup once the main draw was announced on Tuesday. Read: Full Schedule
The 11th match of the tournament will allow Queensland cricket fans to see Australia face Bangladesh on February 21 of 2015.
It will also host Ireland and a yet to be finalised qualifier on February 25 along with the clash between Pakistan and Zimbabwe on March 1. The newly renovated Adelaide Oval has beaten out Brisbane to host a quarter final. India and Pakistan grouped together
The final will be played at the MCG, with semi-finals in Sydney Cricket Ground and Auckland's Eden Park and quarters in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne Cricket Ground and Wellington. MCG to host final
