Apart from Arsenal beating Spurs for the third consecutive time, this match also made the record of featuring the most yellow cards in the first half of a Premier League match ever. 7 yellows were shown in the first 45: 5 to Tottenham, 2 to Arsenal.

Arsenal are without captain Martin Odegaard and star midfielder Declan Rice. Odegaard is out with an ankle injury suffered during the international break, while Rice is suspended after a red card in their previous Premier League game.

The North London derby may be the hottest Premier League rivalry. Arsenal have had the front foot in recent seasons, but nothing would please Spurs more than an early season advantage over them, after a derby win at home.

Arsenal need a win to stay on Manchester City's heels in the early period of the 2024-25 Premier League season. If they win, they go within two points of the league leaders.
