Spanish holiday turns into Barcelona dream for seven-year-old
Some may say seven is too early an age to decide on a career choice but for Kai Fifield from Northampton in England, it may not be. A casual game of soccer during a holiday in Spain with his father, has grabbed the attention of officials from the Barcelona Youth Academy.

Some may say seven is too early an age to decide on a career choice but for Kai Fifield from Northampton in England, it may not be. A casual game of soccer during a holiday in Spain with his father, has grabbed the attention of officials from the Barcelona Youth Academy.
The Sun reported that left-winger Kai chose to play with a few school children on a visit to Camp Nou, who were actually being watched by scouts from the academy. He played so well that the officials asked his father, Delaney, if he could get Kai for a formal trial.
Delaney has already extended the stay by a day in the hopes of giving his son a chance to make it to the Catalan giants' books along with his son's idol - Lionel Messi. "We didn't know who the lads were representing but Kai managed to get a game and held his own in a good standard. As we were going a coach came up and said the last trial of the season for the September intake was the next day and could we come. I was shocked when he said 'Barcelona'," the tabloid quoted Delaney as saying.
