Munich are the first applicant to the German Football Federation to be the country's host city for the 2020 European Championship.
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says Munich are bidding to host the final and semifinals, as well as three group games and a knockout match.
Flanked by Bavarian governor Horst Seehofer and Munich mayor Christian Ude, Rummenigge said Thursday that "Bavarians have proved on innumerable occasions that they are very tolerant hosts. That's the strongest asset."
The federation has until September to nominate candidate cites to UEFA, with Euro 2020 host cities to be chosen in September 2014.
