Mathews will miss remainder of the series vs Australia due to injury
Sri Lanka have recalled veteran batsman Upul Tharanga for the fifth one-day international against Australia after captain Angelo Mathews was ruled out of the rest of the tour with a calf injury.
Sri Lanka have also included batsman Niroshan Dickwella and all-rounder Dasun Shanaka in their 16-man squad for Sunday's match.
Spin bowler Lakshan Sandakan and allrounder Thisara Perera have been left out.
Usually an opening batsman, the 31-year-old Tharanga has not been able to hold a regular spot in the team recently but returned relatively good performances batting at No. 7 during Sri Lanka's last tour of England.
Tharanga has played 187 ODIs, scoring 5,511 runs at an average of 33. He has 13 centuries with a highest score of 174 not out.
Dickwella played his only ODI in November 2014 but has been selected on the basis of his performances for Sri Lanka "A" in England. He has scored three half-centuries in List A matches.
Shanaka is a hard-hitting batsman and a seam bowler with six ODI appearances for Sri Lanka.
Australia have already secured the series 3-1.
