Live Score - England vs Australia
That's the end of the Australian innings! They've posted a mammoth 566/8d in their first attempt here at Lord's, thanks mainly to Chris Rogers and Steven Smith. Bucky Rogers smashed 173 while Superman Smith hit a double ton. The wicket has looked pretty good for batting but there was something for Stuart Broad. The tall pacer grabbed 4/83 and was the pick of the bowlers. Let's see how England reply with the bat on his lovely batting wicket.
OUT! Johnson holes out! Outside off, Johnson tries to hit over the off side but doesn't time it that well. Anderson at deep mid off runs to his right and takes a safe catch. Fourth wicket for Broad! AUSTRALIA HAVE DECLARED!
A short delivery which has been pulled away. They pick up a single.
Fullish on off, Johnson drives it through mid on for a single.
Length ball outside off, angling in, Johnson goes after it but fails to put his bat on the ball.
Landed outside off, Johnson lofts it over point for a couple. Was a bit edgy actually.
Play and a miss! Landed outside off, Johnson tries to go after it but misses.
We are back for the final session. Australia to continue. Broad has the ball in his hand. Johnson to face. Here we go again...
Day 2, final session...
138 runs in the session for the loss of four wickets, something in it for both the teams. No declaration yet from the Aussies and it seems they want to carry on. Voges, Marsh, Nevill all played handy innings but got out to some brilliant bowling from the hosts. Smith played a brilliant knock of 215 but perished going for an uncanny reverse sweep. Broad was the pick of the bowlers as he was rewarded with two wickets in the session for his crisp line and length. Will Australia declare or look to continue in the last session? We will be back in a short while to let you all know. Stay tuned.
