After a rather tame draw in a rain-hit Test against Bangladesh, Team India is all set for the three ODIs which promise a lot more action. The stage is set and the spotlight returns to captain MS Dhoni, who arrived in Dhaka with Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay and other ODI big-wigs on Monday for the series which begins from Thursday. Dhoni - who handed over Test captaincy to Virat Kohli during the Australia series last year - arrived in Dhaka's Shahjalal Airport around 1630 hrs (Bangladesh time), according to Bangladesh Cricket Board. The others in the entourage were Raina, Stuart Binny, Jadeja, Dhawal Kulkarni, Akshar Patel, Ambati Rayudu and Mohit Sharma. (Also read: When Kohli admitted to missing Dhoni in the dressing room)
The Indian selectors previously left nothing to chance and named a full-strength Indian team for the ODIs against Bangladesh - a team which recently trounced Pakistan in an ODI series at home. The hosts, according to Bangladesh's BD24 news, held a training session on Monday. The Indians, however, opted out and are expected to resume on Tuesday.
The three ODIs will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur and will be day-night encounters. The matches also have reserve days due to the monsoon season.
