IPL Auction 2023 Highlights: Sam Curran Costliest Buy At Rs 18.5Cr, Cameron Green Second With 17.5Cr
IPL 2023 Auction: Sam Curran and Cameron Green shattered the all-time auction record as they were picked respectively for Rs 18.50 crore and Rs 17.50 crore by Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.

IPL Auction 2023 Highlights: New records were set at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction with three most-expensive buys ever. England all-rounder Sam Curran and Australia all-rounder Cameron Green were picked for Rs 18.50 crore and Rs 17.50 crore respectively by Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians. Sam Curran is now the costliest player ever to be sold in an IPL auction. On the other hand, England Test captain Ben Stokes was picked by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 16.25 crore, an amount with which he equalled the previous record holder Chris Morris. Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran got the highest-ever price for a West Indies player as Lucknow Supergiants secured him after making a whopping bid of Rs 16 crore. The day started with Harry Brook going to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 13.25 crore. SRH also bought Mayank Agarwal for Rs 8.25 crore. Among the surprise millionaires, pacer Shivam Mavi was picked by Gujarat Titans for Rs 6 crore while Mukesh Kumar was picked by Delhi Capitals for Rs 5.50 crore. The 40-year-old Amit Mishra was picked for Rs 50 lakh by Lucknow Supergiants.

KKR have put a bid for him on his base price of 50 lakh. The deal is done and KKR secure the batter.- Rassie van der Dussen goes unsold for his base price of 2 crore once again in the auction as he finds no bidders.

Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals are in contention to buy him. DC get him for 4.60 crore.- Litton Das comes in next. He has a base price of 50 lakh and KKR get him for that amount- Kusal Mendis is unsold, while Akeal Hosein is sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 1 crore.- Adam Zampa has a base price of 1.50 crore and RR have shown their interst in him. They find no competition and Zampa is theirs.- Anmolpreet Singh goes to SRH for 20 lakh, while Dinesh Bana goes unsold.

GT hold it at 4.40 crore and they win it.

SRH and RR are in the contest currently with the bid nearing 1 crore. Notably, Dagar is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler with an experince of 44 T20 matches. He has picked 44 wickets in the format while bowling at an economy of 6.17. The bid for him has now increased to 1.60. Sunrisers Hyderabad eventually bag the player for 1.80 crore.

So, I think they got him cheaper than what I thought before the auction started."

Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani also goes unsold. New Zealand's Kyle Jamieson becomes the only player on the list to be sold. CSK secure him for his base price of 1 crore.

Wayne Parnell follows Nabi with a base price of 75 lakh and he also goes unsold. James Neesham comes in next and he will also meet the same fate as of Nabi and Parnell. Neesham's base price was 2 crore. Dasun Shanaka is last on this list with a base price of 50 lakh and he too goes unsold.

Daryl Mitchell follows him but he goes unsold after setting a base price of 1 crore for himself. Daniel Sams comes in next and he has been sold to LSG for 75 lakh.

The Aussie batter goes unsold. Mandeep Singh follows him. His base price is 50 lakh and he too goes unsold. David Malan comes next and he also goes unsold. His base was 1.50 crore.

RCB and RR are interested in the player and that sees the bid crossing 3-crore mark in no time. Jacks holds an experince of over 100 T20 matches and his strike rate is over 150 in teh format. RCB lock him for 3.20 crore.
