Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Friday took to Instagram to post a video on Instagram working out inside hotel room. Kohli and other Indian players, part of the Test squad, are currently in quarantine ahead of the Test series against England, which gets underway on February 5. Kohli will be back leading the side after missing the last three Test matches against Australia as he had returned home for the birth of his first child. In the video, Kohli can be seen working out on an indoor exercise bike, with a Punjabi song playing in the background -- which according to him are the two things one needs to work out while in quarantine.
"PropheC music and gym equipment is all you need during quarantine days. Work can be put in anywhere if you really want to. have a great day everyone," read Kohli's caption on the video.
Apart from Kohli, other players have also started quarantine in the team hotel ahead of the all-important Test series. Kohli's red-ball deputy Ajinkya Rahane, who led India to a historic series win Down Under earlier this month, also has shared several posts on Instagram giving fans a sneak peek into his hotel quarantine.Â
Indian opener Rohit Sharma on Thursday shared a photo with wife his Ritika Sajdeh on his Instagram story. The picture, clicked in the balcony of the hotel room, showed the couple sitting in the balcony with a picturesque backdrop.Â
The Indian team have not lost a home Test series since 2012 and incidentally England were the last team that went away with a Test series win on Indian soil.Â
The upcoming four-Test series against England will also play a key role in determining if India, who are currently on top of the table, will make it to the final of the World Test Championship, to be played at the iconic Lord's cricket ground in England.Â
