The ball goes on to rap the pad and the England players around the bat are absolutely convinced that this is out. The umpire remains unmoved though and Ben Stokes goes upstairs for the review. Travis Head goes for the pull shot and hits this aerially towards the deep square leg fielder. Joe Root comes running in from the deep and judges this well to take the catch falling forward. 62.5 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Jonny Bairstow has taken an absolute screamer behind the wicket! He has been under scrutiny all through this series and he has silenced some of his critics with a blinder! Chris Woakes is the man of the moment though as he has claimed two wickets in one over to get England right on top in this tie. This is bowled on a good length and just outside the off pole. Mitchell Marsh looks to defend but gets squared up by the lateral movement. The ball takes a faint edge and goes to the right of Jonny Bairstow behind the stumps. He is wrong-footed but reacts wonderfully well to get down low and grab hold of the ball with one hand. He looks absolutely thrilled with himself and his teammates are jumping on him. What an inspired bowling change this has been by Ben Stokes as both the set batters are now back in the shed.  255/7

62.1 OUT! LBW! The change has worked immediately for England as Chris Woakes claims his second wicket of the game! Cameron Green has not looked comfortable at the crease so far and gets caught in front of the stumps. Chris Woakes bowls this on a good length and angles this into the stumps. Cameron Green defends through the wrong line and the ball goes on to thud against the front pad. The England players go up in appeal and the umpire after some thought. raises his finger. Cameron Green has a word with Mitchell Marsh and decides to review this one. Replays show that the ball is far from the bat and Ball Tracking has umpire's call on wickets hitting. The on-field decision stands and Australia lose their sixth wicket. England will be hoping for a few more wickets to make this their day.  254/6

Alex Carey has to depart just before Stumps and Australia would have hoped to go into Day 2 with this partnership intact. This is bowled on a good length and outside the off stump. Alex Carey looks to leave this one alone but the ball nicks the toe end of his bat on its way through to the keeper. Jonny Bairstow takes an easy catch and throws the ball into the air as the umpire raises his finger. He taps Zak Crawley on his back as he walks back and so do a few other Aussie players and rightly so. It has been an innings of pure class. He falls 11 short of a double ton but he has done his job. A short one, around off, Zak Crawley looks to pull, he looks to drag it but this one stays low, it goes off the inside edge and onto the stumps. The bowling change works. This is short and on off, Brook is tempted and tries to pull over fine leg but gets a top edge and Mitchell Starc with calm presence of mind takes the catch. Harry Brook just strolls around as the umpire checks the catch. Mitchell Starc had his right leg very close to the ropes but well few inches ahead. Out it remains.  474/6
