BCCI meeting: Contradictory views surface after Srinivasan steps aside

In a BCCI emergency working committee's meeting in Chennai on Sunday, Mr. N Srinivasan stepped aside as the President of the Board till the probe into IPL spot-fixing is completed. Former ICC and BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya took over as the interim President. Here is a look at who said what about the meeting and its final verdict:

* BCCI official statement: Mr. N. Srinivasan announced that he will not discharge his duties as the President of the Board till such time that the probe is completed. Till such time, Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya will conduct the day to day affairs of the Board. (Read full statement here)

* Jagmohan Dalmiya (Interim President of BCCI), when asked if Sunday's meeting was an eyewash: It was the most uncharitable and unreasonable comment you have made.
