# Rahul Dravid has averaged only 20.00 in the just concluded series, aggregating 120 in six innings, including one fifty.

# With Gautam Gambhir's wicket, Dale Steyn has set a record for most wickets in a Test series in India-South Africa Tests.

# Steyn's tally of 21 wickets has bettered Allan Donald's taly of 20 wickets (twice). Allan Donald had claimed 20 wickets at 19.70 runs apiece in four Tests  in 1992-93 and 20 at 15.95 in three Tests in 1996-97.

# Steyn's aforesaid tally of 21 wickets (ave.17.47), including two five-wicket hauls, is his career-best series, bettering the 20 (ave.9.20) in two Tests against New Zealand in 2007-08 and 20 (ave.19.10) in three Tests against West Indies in 2007-08.

# Sachin Tendulkar's runs' tally of 489 at an average of 81.50 in seven innings, including two centuries and two fifties is the highest against South Africa at Newlands, Cape Town.

# Laxman and Tendulkar were involved in a stand of 46 (unbroken) for the fourth wicket - India's best at Newlands.

# Tendulkar has topped the run-aggregate in the series for India - 326 (ave.81.50) in six innings, including two hundreds.

# Under Dhoni's captaincy, Tendulkar has played exceptionally well, aggregating 2404 (ave.75.12), including eleven hundreds and eight fifties, in 23 Tests.

# Tendulkar's break-up of 51 centuries is: 20 for winning cause, 20 for drawn games and eleven for losing cause.

# Jacques Kallis has received two Man of the Match awards against India - both in the just concluded series.

# Kallis has received 22 MOM awards overall, extending his world record.

# South Africa are without a victory in three consecutive series for the first time at home since their readmission in 1991.
