01:40 hrs IST: That's it for today. Do join us on July 30 for the live coverage of the second Test, to be held at Jamaica. Until then, it's goodbye. Cheers!
R Ashwin (Man of the Match): "The fast bowlers bowled really well in the first innings. I didn't find the rhythm in the first innings as the long spell wasn't coming. But it did come after lunch. I was speaking to Anil bhai as well about how my rhythm was and we worked this morning on it. It's all about finding the right rhythm, if everything is in sync you start finishing well."
Virat Kohli (India skipper): "Scoring wasn't easy, initially West Indies bowled well. A couple of their bowlers rushed us, 70-odd for 2 with five batsmen, had to take responsibility. Shikhar was playing really well and I wanted to be positive, if you want to win a Test you have to score quickly and get the bowlers a chance to bowl the opposition out twice. Then Ashwin played a brilliant innings down the order, it was a team batting performance. If we're playing five batsmen, we wanted to deepen the order. We had Saha at No. 7 and Ashwin was good enough to bat at No. 6. He was a pure batsman before he became an offspinner. Always good to have someone who can do pretty well in both."

Jason Holder (West Indies skipper): "India put up a pretty good first innings total, we didn't bowl well. It's a daunting task chasing 566. We had some good performances, Brathwaite and Dowrich. Didn't get enough partnerships. Have to bowl better, Shannon bowled very well, Bishoo was decent, but have to bowl well for longer."
01:18 hrs IST: And that's it. Ashwin takes his seventh as India thrash the West Indies by an innings an 92 runs to take 1-0 lead in four-match series.

West Indies will need their batsmen to put in a massive performance to stave off Virat Kohli's men from inflicting a humiliating loss. Following on, the hosts have already lost opener Kraigg Brathwaite with the score just 21 in the second innings. They still trail India by 302 runs.
The Indian pacers might have done the main damage of Day 3 but Ravichandran Ashwin and Amit Mishra, who took two wickets in the first innings, cannot be ignored on a Day 4 pitch.
There was turn for both spinners on Saturday but it was slow that gave the batsmen ample time to judge the delivery.
Will the West Indies mount a resurgence or will India register a big win.
