Ashwin is proving to be the one-man demolition army for the West Indies. With the bat, he has scored three centuries against West Indies, including one in the first Test. With the ball, he has taken two consecutive five-wicket hauls in this series and his performance of 5/52 laid the basis of India's domination.
Rahul's solid knock has threatened to bat West Indies out of the contest. With the likes of Virat Kohli yet to come, the task is becoming hard for the West Indies. The bowling has lacked bite and they will have to pull up their socks on a Kingston wicket that is offering something for both the pacers and spinners.
For the Windies, Jermaine Blackwood's counter-attacking 62 was the only highlight in an otherwise dismal performance. He has said that pressure must be built on the Indian batsmen if they are to limit the damage. However, the pace bowlers lacked discipline during the first day and they will have to put in a much better show if they are to prevent India from running away with the game.
