Rafael Nadal Slips to Tenth Spot as Stanislas Wawrinka Climbs Up the ATP Rankings
Rafael Nadal slipped to his lowest position in 10 years while Stanislas Wawrinka climbed to number four after taking the 2015 French Open title.
In his lowest position since he jumped into the top 10 more than 10 years ago, Spain's Rafael Nadal dropped to the No.10 spot in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world singles rankings, published on Monday.
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic maintained his place at No.1 in the singles rankings with 13,845 points, while Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka climbed to No.4 after taking the French Open title, reports Efe. (Wawrinka Emerges From Federer's Shadow)
Wawrinka's win marks his first Roland Garros and second Grand Slam title, adding to last year's Australian Open victory.
Nadal now has 2,930 points while Wawrinka has 5,835.
