Rafael Nadal Rises to Ninth, Novak Djokovic Maintains Top Spot in ATP Rankings
Rafael Nadal defeated Fabio Fognini to lift the Hamburg Open title on Sunday.

Rafael Nadal has risen a place to ninth in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) after winning the Hamburg Open on Sunday. Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic maintained his place at No.1 in men's singles rankings released on Monday with 13,845 points.
Nadal won the Hamburg claycourt title gaining a much-needed confidence boost after a slump in form, beating Italian eighth seed Fabio Fognini in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5.
Croatian Marin Cilic also jumped a place to eighth while Canada's Milos Raonic gave up his No.8 spot and now sits at No.10.
