Mario Ancic of Croatia helped his team level scores defeating India's Rohan Bopanna in a men's singles Group 'B' match of the Hopman Cup at Perth on Wednesday.
Bopanna went down fighting in straight sets 6-7 (2/7) 6-7(3/7) in 83 minutes.
Earlier, Sania Mirza had registered a comfortable 6-2 6-3 victory against Sanja Ancic, Mario's younger sister, to give India the lead.
The winner of the tie will now be decided by the mixed doubles match.
