Anil Kumble Roped in as Brand Ambassador of Champions Tennis League Team Raipur Rangers
The Champions Tennis League has been conceptualised by Vijay Amritraj.
Anil Kumble, former India captain, was on Tuesday roped in as the brand ambassador of Champions Tennis League (CTL). (Read more tennis stories here)
Raipur Rangers, co-owned by Abhishek Mishra and Chinmay Tiwari, will comprise players like Thomas Muster, Alize Cornet, Ramanathan Ramkumar. The Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium will be the team's home stadium. The team will also be accompanied by two Indian juniors whose names will be announced later.
Being the face of the team, brand ambassador of Raipur Rangers, Anil Kumble, said: "I am honored to be the Brand Ambassador of the team Raipur Rangers in the second season of CTL. I am thrilled to be associated with the owners Abhishek and Chinmay who share the same passion for sports as I do. This platform gives us the opportunity to build a larger and more vibrant grassroots programme for the sport within the state of Chhattisgarh."
He also added, "I am confident that CTL will revolutionize tennis in India, and will foster new talent to take the baton forward across international arenas."
