The Papua New Guinea cricket team, also known as the Barramundis, has been an Associate Member of the ICC since 1973. PNG previously had ODI status, which they earned by finishing fourth in the World Cup Qualifier, but in March 2018, they lost both ODI and T20I status. Though, they got benefited by the ICC decision to grant full T20I status to all its members, so all games played between Papua New Guinea and other members will be considered as a full T20I. PNG also holds an amazing record for the highest score in a one-day game, smashing 572/7 against New Caledonia in 2007.
