National Kabaddi Championship: Hosts Hyderabad beat Pondicherry
Hyderabad beat Pondicherry in both men's and women's section at the 59th Senior National Kabaddi Championship which began on Saturday.

Hyderabad beat Pondicherry in both men's and women's section at the 59th Senior National Kabaddi Championship which began on Saturday.
Hyderabad defeated Pondicherry by 45-24 margin and led at the break by a score of 20-11.
Sunil, Mahender Reddy and Jinjo Pal scored number of points in raiding for Hyderabad and in defence, Devender and Ravinder put up a good performance and scored for the team in catching.
For Pondicherry, Ranjith Kumar did well. In the Women section, Hyderabad beat Pondicherry 55-19 and Half Time 31-05.
Kumari Savitha, Tanveer Kaul and Ranjitha scored number of points in raiding for Hyderabad.
In defence, Mangala Desai and Sashi scored in catching for Hyderabad. Kumari Parmeshwari was impressive in raiding.
The tournament is being organised by Sri Krishna Club and Hyderabad Kabaddi Association, under the auspices of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, AP Olympic Association and Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh. Congress MP from Secunderabad M Anjan Kumar Yadav was the Chief Guest at the inauguration function.
