Delhi Capitals have clinched the match by 19 runs and they keep their playoff dreams alive. However, it will be depend on a lot of permutations and combinations. On the other hand, LSG were dealt a massive blow. SRH, RCB and CSK will rejoice after this result while RR have qualified for the playoffs.

So much drama! LSG lost another wicket and Naveen almost got run-out but the match remains alive. 23 runs to win in the final over!

LSG 188/9 after 19.2 overs

What a knock from Arshad Khan. He has destroyed the DC bowlers and suddenly, LSG are back in this game. Two sixes and a four off Khaleel Ahmed and although Yudhvir Singh was dismissed in the over, this match is headed towards a solid finish.

LSG 168/8 after 17.1 overs

DC are inching towards a comfortable win over LSG and this is very good news for RCB. LSG can now only reach 14 points even if they win their final match and a big win over CSK in their final match will put RCB in a brilliant position to reach the IPL 2024 playoffs.

LSG 149/7 after 16 overs 

Kuldeep Yadav strikes this time and this has been a great show from the DC bowlers. Krunal Pandya is stumped by Rishabh Pant and DC are on the verge of a crucial win. DC will have 14 points from 14 matches if they win the game and they will have to depend on other results to potentially find a spot in the playoffs.

LSG 134/7 in 14.4 overs

A heavy loss against LSG can be extremely problematic for their playoff dreams. It will mean that they can only reach 14 points even if they win their remaining match but their Net Run Rate (NRR) can come back to haunt them.

Mukesh Kumar strikes for Delhi Capitals and it is the important wicket of Nicholas Pooran, Lucknow Super Giants 101/6 after 11.1 overs. A humongous wicket and it seems like game over for LSG. A huge blow to their playoff dreams and this is going to be very disappointing.

The best case scenario for DC is to get ahead of SRH when it comes to net run rate: DC can get ahead of SRH in case of a 14-point tie if SRH lose their last two matches by a combined margin of 120 runs and DC beat LSG by 96 runs or more (Assuming first innings score of 200 in each case).

A 21-ball half-century for Nicholas Pooran but the target is still far far away. The left-handed batter from West Indies will have to produce something extra special if LSG win tonight and he will also need to play till the end.

Ayush Badoni goes for a big shot himself but not the result that he wanted. A mishit off Tristan Stubbs and a comfortable catch for Gulbadin Naib on the boundary. Half of the LSG team is back in the dugout and DC are truly on top.

Another wicket for Ishant Sharma and LSG have completely lost the plot. Deepak Hooda was trapped LBW for a duck and LSG are four wickets down. Nicholas Pooran slammed 20 runs in the Axar Patel over but he will have to stay till the end if LSG are to have any chance to chase down this total.

DC 48/4 after 4.5 overs

Rishabh Pant completes a comfortable stumping and it is the mammoth wicket of Marcus Stoinis. The Australian all-rounder was completely foxed by the delivery from Axar Patel and this is not looking good for LSG.

Second wicket for Ishant Sharma and it is Quinton De Kock this time. A mishit from the veteran left-hander and it is Mukesh Kumar once again who completes the catch!

This has been a good start for Delhi Capitals. With 200 in their kitty, it was important for the hosts to not concede a lot of runs early in the run chase. They have succeeded in keeping LSG quiet and although Marcus Stoinis did get a boundary, he has not gone berserk in this game yet.

KL Rahul started well but he is caught by Mukesh Kumar in the very first over. A big wicket for Ishant Sharma and LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka was visibly disappointed. Marcus Stoinis is the new batter and a lot will depend on his performance tonight.

Tristan Stubbs remains unbeaten on 57 as Delhi Capitals manage 208 for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. A good total but it remains to be seen if it is enough on a surface that has produced multiple high-scoring matches this year.

Tristan Stubbs slams Naveen-ul-Haq for another six way over long-off and it is half-century for the Proteas. A 22-ball fifty for the star batter and this has been a special knock.

DC 199/4 after 19.1 overs

Tristan Stubbs is looking in sublime form and LSG bowler have no reply to his pure strength. A four followed by a huge six off Naveen-ul-Haq. 200 is just round the corner now!

Rishabh Pant went for another big shot but this time, he was caught in the dep and Naveen-ul-Haq has his second wicket. A big breakthrough for LSG and the onus is completely on Tristan Stubbs if DC want to post a total anywhere near 200.

Delhi Capitals were scoring at a brilliant rate but couple of slow overs mean that 200 is looking tough for the hosts. However, with big hitters like Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs out in the middle, things can change very fast.

Rishabh Pant has truly been a top performer for Delhi Capitals and this will be good news for both DC and Indian cricket team fans who will want him to repeat this performance in the T20 World Cup as well. 6 overs to go and DC must be eyeing 200 from here.

The run rate has suffered quite a bit since the dismissal of Shai Hope and Abishek Porel. Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs are looking to get their eye in right now and DC will need them both to provide a solid finish to this innings.

A stunning catch from KL Rahul and this is a crucial wicket for LSG. A powerful shot from Shai Hope went straight to the LSG captain who spilled it at first but pulled off a quick dive to complete the catch. LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka gives him a standing ovation and LSG can now dream of a comeback.

We would have batted first. There are a lot of things going on (regarding qualification) but you can only focus on winning the game. If you had not lost too many wickets we would have won that game, but easier to say that from sitting out. That is a concern throughout the season but as a captain you can ask the players to give their best and they are doing that. We have two changes - myself and Naib come in, Warner misses out.

"We will bowl first. It is because of how our team is placed and what will help our team. We are a young bowling attack and get them into the game early, we have experienced batters and they can take the pressure. It is pretty clear for us, we have to win both games. The last two games we have not been up to the mark and have been blasted out of the game. The bowlers have to be brave, as a bowling unit you might fear using change ups but they have to do just back themselves. Couple of changes."

Victories in the remaining two matches will guarantee a playoff spot for SRH. If they lose one of their matches and LSG win their two games, both teams will have 16 points but SRH will have the advantage due to a much superior NRR. If SRH lose both of their remaining matches and LSG win their two games, the Pat Cummins-led side will have to depend on the result of the game between RCB and CSK. If CSK win the match, SRH will crash out of the race. However, if CSK lose to RCB, the final playoff spot will be decided by NRR.

Delhi Capitals will have to win their game against Lucknow Super Giants by a big margin and hope that LSG lose their remaining game, SRH lose their two remaining matches and RCB suffer a heavy loss against CSK to potentially find a place in the IPL 2024 playoffs.

A win over RCB will take CSK directly into the playoffs but a loss may not be the end of the road for the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side. If LSG lose both of their remaining games, CSK will go through with 14 points. If LSG win one, CSK still will be favourites to go through due to a much superior NRR. If LSG win both of their matches and SRH lose both of theirs, a loss for CSK to RCB will mean that the final playoff spot will decided between CSK, SRH and RCB on Net Run Rate.

RCB are currently on a five-match winning streak and they will have to win their final game against Chennai Super Kings. A win will take them to 14 points and their playoff hopes will come down to the Net Run Rate (NRR). The best case scenario for RCB will be LSG and SRH winning one out of their two remaining matches or losing both of them. Losses in both games will mean that RCB can go through even if they beat CSK by a narrow margin. If SRH and LSG win one match each, the NRR will come into play and RCB will have to register a big win over CSK to book their playoff spot. if SRH lose both of their matches, RCB can qualify with a big win over CSK as both will have 14 points.

Rishabh Pant is on the verge of a mammoth achievement as the Delhi Capitals skipper is just 4 away from completing a sensational 100 dismissals in the IPL.

LSG will have to win both of their remaining matches and that will take them to 16 points. If CSK beat RCB and SRH win one out of their remaining two matches, all 3 sides can end up with 16 points and LSG may not qualify due to their inferior NRR. If SRH win both of their matches and CSK lose to RCB, LSG will go through at No. 4. If SRH lose both of their matches, LSG can go through by winning their remaining matches irrespective of what happens in the clash between CSK and RCB.

This is a huge match for both teams as their playoff dreams are still alive in the IPL 2024. A win for LSG will be a huge step towards guaranteeing a Top 4 finish while DC will have an outside chance of qualifying if they can beat LSG by a big margin.
