IPL: Adam Zampa Picks Up First Five-Wicket Haul, Finishes With 6/19
Adam Zampa picked up the first five-wicket haul in the 2016 Indian Premier League as he finished with 6/19 from his four-overs, the second-best bowling figures in the history of the tournament.

Australian legspinner Adam Zampa picked up the first five-wicket haul in the 2016 Indian Premier League as he finished with figures of 4-0-19-6 to restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to 137/8 in the match at Vizag on Tuesday.
Zampa, who made his IPL debut for Rising Pune Supergiants in the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, bowled only one over after the end of the powerplay. He came back during the death overs with Yuvraj Singh and Kane Williamson looking in wonderful touch but the Australian legspinner struck by removing Yuvraj for an aggressive 23 off 21 balls. He struck twice in the 18th over as he removed Williamson for 32 and Moises Henriques for 10 off successive deliveries.
In the final over, he was smashed for a six by Deepak Hooda but he got his revenge when he had the batsman stumped in the very next ball. He bowled Naman Ojha for seven with a quick delivery and he rounded off the innings as Bhuvneshwar Kumar holed out to long on to finish with figures of 6/19.
Thius the first-time Zampa has picked up a five-wicket haul in Twenty20 cricket. His haul of 6/19 is the second-best by a bowler in the history of the Indian Premier League. Sohail Tanvir holds the record for the best bowling in an innings when he picked up 6/14 in his four overs during the match between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings in the first edition of the IPL in 2008.
This is the 15th best bowling figures in all of Twenty20s and the second time a six-wicket haul has been taken in the IPL. Arul Suppiah has the best bowling figures with 6/5 in 3.4 overs which he achieved for Somerset against Glamorgan in Cardiff in the 2011 season.
The haul of 6/19 is the best bowling figures by an Australian in Twenty20s. Michael Dighton had the previous best figures of 6/25 for Tasmania in their clash against Queensland in Toowoomba on January 1, 2007.
Zampa was brought in the 2016 IPL Auction for his base price of Rs 30 lakhs. He was the leading wicket-taker for the Melbourne Stars in the 2015/16 edition of the Big Bash League in Australia.
