23:55 hrs IST: That's it. Thank you for joining us for today's match at Pune. See you all tomorrow for the 4 pm clash between Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians.ÂÂ
AB de Villiers (Man of the Match): "It wasn't easy to get going. I maybe got away with a couple of easy boundaries. Both my sweeps didn't come off the middle, but went for six. But generally, I'm pleased with my performance."
Virat Kohli (RCB skipper): "That was closer than we thought it would be at one stage, but good to cross the line. We were playing good cricket, it just needed composure at the right moments."
MS Dhoni (RPS skipper): "We lost three wickets for nothing. Faf got out, then KP got injured, and Steven Smith got run-out. It was a par-plus score. With three batsmen back in, I thought it was difficult to achieve. But I'm happy with the way we came close."
23:46 hrs IST: Well played RCB!ÂÂ

Rising Pune Supergiants and Royal Challengers Bangalore have some of the biggest names in the IPL. But it has been proven once again that name and fame don't matter in a format where a good ball is hit for a six and a bad ball can get you a wicket.
RPS made a booming start against MI in 2016 IPL opener at Wankhede. After that, Dhoni's team lost to the Gujarat Lions and lowly Kings XI Punjab.
RCB have been no better. They won their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad but then Kohli's high-profile team lost to Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians.

Rising Pune Supergiants still haven't been able to find their first XI. Dhoni made three changes against Kings XI but it did not make big impact. The captain needs to review his batting position. Dhoni can produce the runs up the order. Faf du Plessis remains RPS' best bet with 170 runs from three matches.
RCB will be without just-dad Chris Gayle. But that should not impact their batting where Kohli and De Villiers have the ability to step at any stage. Shane Watson's all-round skills is an asset for RCB but Friday's result could be dictated by the team that bowls better. The slow bowlers may play a key role.
