Adam Milne, New Zealand pace bowler who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore, has become the latest entrant into the injured list after he was ruled out of the 2016 Indian Premier League due to a hamstring injury.
Milne, who was brought by RCB for Rs 70 lakhs, played only one match for the franchise in the 2016 edition against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He picked up 1/43 from his four overs and bowled with good pace.
This is not the first time Milne has been plagued by injury in the IPL. In the 2015 edition, he missed the entire tournament due to a heel injury which he picked up in the quarter-final of the 2015 World Cup against West Indies.
Milne's injury is a big blow for RCB, who are already missing the services of Mitchell Starc. The Virat Kohli-led side are currently seventh in the IPL and are in danger of not qualifying for the knock-out stages.
The New Zealand pacer's injury increases the list of overseas players who have gotten injured in the IPL. Faf du Plessis, Kevin Pietersen, Steven Smith and Mitchell Marsh have all been ruled out for the MS Dhoni-led Rising Pune Supergiants.
Before the start of the tournament, RCB were jolted by the injury to West Indies legspinner Samuel Badree, who injured his shoulder during the World T20 final against England in Kolkata.
