Some reports said that KXIP batsman David Miller was practicing the pull shot close to the boundary rope in front of the Gate 14 stand when he hit one straight into the stands that hit the boy on his chest.
PCA Chief Executive Officer Brig G S Sandhu (retd) said that a boy had been injured and provided immediate medical aid at the PCA itself.
He, however, could not confirm if the shot was hit by Miller. The boy had later also been taken to a hospital for X-ray and other tests, sources said.
