Ravi Savant is interim president of Mumbai Cricket

Ravi Savant was on Friday, elected as interim president of Mumbai Cricket Association, in place of the late Vilasrao Deshmukh who died earlier this month.

Ravi Savant was on Friday, elected as interim president of Mumbai Cricket Association, in place of the late Vilasrao Deshmukh who died earlier this month.

Savant, who was the treasurer in MCA's 17-member managing committee defeated vice president Prof Ratnakar Shetty 10-5 in the election today, with one abstention.

Mayank Khandwala took over as treasurer. Joint Secretary Nitin Dalal, who is presently abroad, remained absent.
