A livid Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni stressed on the need to address recent defeats while stating that Chennai Super Kings would need to score "230" since the new ball bowlers were not providing with breakthroughs in the Indian Premier League.
"I think we need 230 as our new-ball bowlers are not getting wickets with the new ball," Dhoni said at the post-match presentation ceremony on Thursday. "We have to address the defeats as we have lost a few games very easily," the skipper said in a worried tone. (Match report | Match scorecard | Match highlights)
"The easier thing would be to chase in each and every game. Today, I went in and ate up quite a few deliveries. I think 185 was a decent score but under par," the skipper said.(Also read: How Warner's 45-ball 90 left Chennai Super Kings stunned)

Winning captain Darren Sammy however now feels that they can only win the matches and hope that the other results go in their favour.
"We have been rising to the challenge, looking to control what we can. Good thing that we bowled first. Credit to Warner and Dhawan. After a few games, you tend to look for ways to improve and Warner has always been better up the order. We can now just hope things go in our favour," Sammy said. (Points Table)
Warner on his part gave a lot of credit to Shikhar Dhawan for supporting him well at the top of the order where he loves to bat.
