IPL 2013: Glad my gamble to promote Yagnik paid off, says Dravid

Rajasthan had opted to bat and their openers Shane Watson and Ajinkya Rahane got themselves off to a brisk start with 58 runs in the first 6 overs. Dishant Yagnik's promotion was a blessing for the Royals as he hit a quick 34.

Two quick wickets fell in the middle overs and Mumbai looked set to claw back into the game but Brad Hodge smashed 27 not out from 15 balls and Rahane opened up towards the end with 68 not out.

Mumbai never looked like getting close to the target and collapsed to 92 all-out.

While Mumbai skipper Ricky Ponting was critical of his team's defeat he did emphasise on the game's unpredictability.

"That's the beauty of the game and it can change very quickly. But there is a long way to go so we can only hope to do better."
Victorious captain Rahul Dravid praised his boys and was happy his gamble to promote Yagnik worked.

"It was a good game for me and I am glad my gamble paid off. Rahane's innings and Watson's start was important."

He was wary on the danger Mumbai posed to the other teams in the tournament.

"Mumbai are the team to beat and they are going to beat many teams in the tournament. Still a long way to go but it was a good win for us."

Man of the Match Ajinkya Rahane was happy with the support he got from Watson at the top.

"Watson's innings took the pressure off me and I was able to adjust between defence and attack at the right time during my stay at the wicket."

Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Stuart Binny was over the moon with their win over Mumbai Indians by 87 runs in Jaipur. He was quick to admit that it was a carefully laid plan ahead of the game which worked perfectly.

"We came out with a plan today and it worked," said Binny.

When asked about his father's influence on his swing bowling he replied, "He has been of great help whenever I have needed it," said a proud son.

Binny expressed his joy in particular in getting Kieron Pollard out which turned the tide of the match.

"His wicket was crucial for we all know how dangerous a player he is and it was good to see his back," the elated all-rounder said.
