Rohit Sharma Wins Rs 2.64 Lakh Cash Award for Eden Milestone
Rohit Sharma became the highest scorer in ODI history when he scored a sizzling 264 at Eden Gardens. The Cricket Association of Bengal promptly reciprocated with a cash award.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Thursday announced a cash award of Rs. 2.64 lakh for Indian batsman Rohit Sharma who struck a world record 264 in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) at the Eden Gardens here. (Dhoni Predicted Rohit's Feat)
"It is our immense pleasure to inform you that on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Eden Gardens, the CAB is very much honoured to present Rohit Sharma a cash award of Rs 2.64 lakh for creating a world record and making an unbelievable 264 runs," a CAB release said.  (Blog | Scorecard)

The right-hander wrote himself into the record books by becoming the first batsman to score two double hundreds in ODI cricket and also became the highest individual scorer in an innings in the 50-over format.
