Ambati Rayudu shared two hundred run stands, first with Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli as India decimated Sri Lanka in Ahmedabad to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Catch all the highlights of the match here: (Scorecard)
2109 IST: Rayudu hit Prasanna for FOUR! as India stormed to victory by six wickets and take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Rayudu remained unbeaten on 121 while Dhawan contributed 79. Kohli chipped in with 49.
2106 IST: WICKET! Raina falls to Prasanna for 14 with India on 270/4 but it is too late in the day for the Sri Lankans.
2103 IST: Suresh Raina has walked out and blazed to 11 not out off three balls to close the gap with the Sri Lankans - just eight needed now off 40 balls.
2100 IST: WICKET! Soft dismissal for Virat Kohli as he falls to Prasanna for 49 with India on 256/3 in 42.3 overs. However, the result is just a formality now. India are winning this one easily.
2041 IST: Rayudu brings up his maiden ODI hundred as India reach 215/2 off 37.4 overs, chasing 275. This is such an inspired move by Virat Kohli to send Rayudu up the order. India have a nice problem of plenty now.
2010 IST: Rayudu has taken over the chase for India after Dhawan's exit. Don't expect Kohli to play second fiddle for too long either. This chase could be over in a canter.
2004 IST: India are 165/2 after 31 overs, chasing 275 vs Sri Lanka. Rayudu is already batting on his best ODI score and is looking good for a maiden hundred.
1959 IST: It was Virat Kohli's birthday yesterday and he was also nominated for the ICC ODI Player of the Year Award. Can he round off a perfect birthday by seeing India through to victory tonight?
1944 IST: WICKET! Dhawan plays a wild shot against Seekuge Prasanna and falls for 79 - there was a hundred for the taking, a second consecutive one. Anyway, India are 140/2 in the 27th over, chasing 275 as Virat Kohli joins a well-set Rayudu, who has brought up his fifth ODI fifty.
1934 IST: SIX! Rayudu is on song here. He has smashed Prasad for a big one, clean into the stands. India are hurtling down towards the target now.
19:32 IST: More from Tendulkar's book. It appears the Master Blaster was unimpressed with Kapil Dev as coach. Read more here.
1931 IST: Dhawan and Rayudu have now added 100 for the second wicket, off 104 balls. The duo had started slowly, so this has been great acceleration. India are masters at chasing, especially at home and they are showing exactly why, tonight.
1929 IST: India have done well to catch up. After 23 overs, Sri Lanka were 113/3 while India are 112/1. This is a terrific platform for the rest of the line-up to complete the chase.
1923 IST: India are 107/1 off 22 overs chasing 275 vs Sri Lanka. Dhawan has opened up beautifully to move to 66 not out and he has received great support from Rayudu.
1920 IST: SIX! Majestic shot from Dhawan as he clobbers Perera over the ropes and he follows it up with FOUR! 100 up for India in the 22nd over. This is superb batting by the left-handed opener.
1918 IST: Fifty for Dhawan. He is in fine form, having struck a hundred in the previous game. This is Dhawan's 10th half-century. India are 90/1 off 20/4 overs.
1910 IST: FOUR! Dhawan steps out to Prasanna and chips him over mid-off as he moves into the 40's. India need a move-on now and Dhawan knows it. This has been good batting by him and Rayudu against a disciplined Sri Lankan bowling attack.
1904 IST: Dhawan and Rayudu have brought up the 50-run stand for the second wicket. The two are opening up now and the crowd may not have to wait long before the batsmen start hitting some big ones.
1902 IST: SIX! Rayudu steps down the track and slams Randiv into the stands. That was a fantastic shot. India are 65/1 off 17 overs and both batsmen in the middle are well aware of what they want.
1859 IST: India have chased down targets in excess of 275 against Sri Lanka seven times, more than any other team. With the kind of batsmen in their ranks, there is no reason why the world champions can't do it tonight.

1851 IST: Fifty up for India in the 15th over. This has been slow going for the hosts but they have enough firepower in their ranks to get 275. For now, Dhawan is looking to open up and play some of his stylish shots and set the pace.
1848 IST: FOUR! Length ball from Thisara Perera and Dhawan smacks that down mid-wicket to take India to 47/1 off 14 overs as they chase 275 vs Sri Lanka.
1843 IST: India are slow but steady after the loss of Ajinkya Rahane. However, Dhawan and Rayudu are looking solid in the middle as the hosts seek to chase down 275.
1839 IST: Meanwhile, more revelations from Sachin Tendulkar. The Master Blaster says in his autobiography 'Playing It My Way', that he was humiliated after the BCCI unceremoniously sacked as captain. Read more here
1832 IST: After 10 overs, Sri Lanka were 53/1 and India are 34/1. Not that India should be worried because they are not chasing a massive total by modern standards. Dhawan is still in the middle, Rayudu is looking solid and Kohli and Raina are yet to bat.
1828 IST: It is not clear why Rayudu has come out instead of Kohli but it is a wise move. The former has not had the opportunity to do too much and this is a great chance for him to impress with a sound knock.
1824 IST: FOUR! Rayudu creams that one off Prasad to the fence. Terrific shot as India move on to 26/1 off 9 overs.
1817 IST: Loud appeal against Dhawan - Gamiga thought he got the left-handed batsman to edge one to Sangakkara but the umpire was clearly not interested.

1815 IST: WICKET! Fantastic reaction by Mahela Jayawardene at first slip. Rahane edged Dhammika Prasad and the ball bounced off Sangakkara's gloves but Mahela was alive to the situation and took a smart catch as India lost their first wicket - 18/1 in 6/3 overs chasing 275. In walks Rayudu, instead of Kohli to join his Delhi mate Dhawan at the crease.
1809 IST: India are 17/0 after six overs. The Sri Lankan new ball bowlers Mathews and Gamage have done to keep the aggressive opening pair of Dhawan and Rahane in check.
© BCCI
1758 IST: India are 8/0 after three overs, chasing 275. Dhawan and Rahane have been very watchful to start off, like they always are. The likes of Kohli, Rayudu and Raina are due in next. Sri Lanka should be extremely worried.
1753 IST: Lahiru Gamage bowls a maiden to Shikhar Dhawan; India are 4/0 after two overs - a rather slow start but they would not be worried with the kind of batting strength they have.
1749 IST: India are 4/0 off the first over from Angelo Mathews. Both Indian openers Rahane and Dhawan are in fine form, having struck hundreds in the previous game. Can India chase down 275 to take a 2-0 lead in the series?
1714 IST: Sri Lanka have finished with 274/8 after Mathews remained unbeaten on 92. Umesh Yadav, R Ashwin and Akshar Patel picked up two wickets apiece before a late stand between Mathews and Dhammika Prasad helped the visitors to a respectable total.
1708 IST: Ishant Sharma bowls a no-ball in the last over of the innings. Free hit to Dhammika Prasad, who gets a bouncer as he attempts to move across the line.
1702 IST: Mathews is closing in on a well-deserved hundred - he is now the highest run-getter in ODIs this year, having overtaken Kumar Sangakkara (802 runs). Virat Kohli (747) is third on the list.
1657 IST: Angelo Mathews has found good support in Dhammika Prasad- the tailender has done well enough to help his skipper take Sri Lanka past 250. It did not look like they would get there after repeated strikes by the Indian bowlers.
1648 IST: Sri Lanka are struggling against against the Indian onslaught. The hosts have a strong batting line-up and the Lankans don't look like they are on course for a big total here.
1640 IST: The Indian team management should be delighted with the way their bowlers have performed in the series so far. Barring the odd resilience, no Sri Lankan batsman has shown much of a fight so far. Mathews has done well to hold one end up but lack of support from the other batsmen have let him down.
16:35 IST: WICKET! R Ashwin has struck again to reduce Sri Lanka to 220/8. This is another poor batting performance by the visitors and the captain, who is playing a gem of a knock at the other end, must be appalled at the kind of poor shot selection by his batsmen.
1628 IST: Sri Lanka are 211/7 with the 43rd over in progress now; Mathews has stood firm like the Rock of Gibraltar and he will be the key if the visitors want a big total on the board
1621 IST: WICKET! Akshar Patel has picked up his second to see off the dangerous Thisara Perara as Sri Lanka slip to 205/7. Skipper Mathews is waging a lonely war really as India continue to dominate the hapless visitors.
1617 IST: Sri Lanka are in certain trouble but Mathews has stood strong despite the loss of wickets at the other end. India have done well to keep chipping away at the Sri Lankan batting order but they have a determined opposition captain to contend with.
1606 IST: OUT! Priyanjan is run out for 1 and Sri Lanka struggling at 179/6.
© BCCI
1555 IST: OUT! Jadeja gets his first of the day as Prasanna looks to take aerial route only to find Rayudu.
1550 IST: FIFTY FOR MATTHEWS! He may have lost the company of Sangakkara but Lankan skipper Matthews has hardly let it have an impact on his game. He hits a four to reach his 23rd ODI fifty.
© BCCI
1540 IST: OUT! After a superb knock, Sangakkara fails to dispatch an easy full toss from Umesh. The batsman finds Shikhar Dhawan on long on, his knock ends on 61. Sri Lanka 154/4 after 32.3.
1520 IST: FIFTY FOR SANGAKKARA! The 37-year-old shows that age is no bar for talent and experience as he completes his 87th ODI fifty off 73 balls. Sri Lanka: 126/3, 27.4.

1502 IST: Kohli brings back Ishant into the attack. Meanwhile, another Indian pacer - Bhuvneshwar Kumar - was presented with the ICC People's Choice award on Wednesday. Read full report here.

1459 IST: Sri Lanka's 100 comes up in 21.2 overs. The run-rate is on the rise and that would be a sign of concern for the hosts.
1455 IST: There is an urgency in Sri Lankan batting now with both Sangakkara and Matthews looking to switch gears. Both batsmen have targeted Ashwin and Akshar and their bravery has been rewarded with couple of shots to - and over- the boundary. Kohli has now chosen to bring in Jadeja who has a habit of breaking stubborn partnerships.
1445 IST: Sri Lanka 75/3 after 18 overs. Meanwhile in Mumbai:

1433 IST: Captain Matthews has joined Sangakkara in the middle. Sangakkara has been in this situation several times and would want to hold the innings together from one end. Of course, he will need all the support that he can get from the other end.
1427 IST: OUT! Jayawardene falls to Ashwin on 4. Rayudu deserves the credit for the wicket as he took a spectacular running catch to end the veteran's knock early. Sri Lanka: 64/3, 13.5.
1416 IST:OUT! Akshar Patel strikes in his first over of spin. He makes a mess of the stumps behind Dilshan whose fight ends on 35 off 30 balls. Sri Lanka: 55/2, 10.3.
© BCCI
1412 IST:4, 4, 4, 4. That is how Dilshan welcomes Ashwin to the middle.
1405 IST: Ishant and Umesh likely to get a lengthy first spell. The two have managed to keep Lankan batsmen in check and the two have been very watchful in their approach against the pacers so far. In the absence of a third seamer, Kohli may wait before he opts to bare his spin regiment.
1355 IST: The Indian bowling pair of Umesh (35) and Ishant (73) have together played in 562 fewer ODIs than Sangakkara (381) and Dilshan (289). While the two batsmen have played in a combined figure of 670 matches for Sri Lanka, Umesh and Ishant have 108 between each other.
1347 IST: Ishant is all pumped up! After his heroics in the previous ODI - he claimed four wickets - Ishant is looking in menacing form and is hitting the right line and length early. He is bowling to the veteran Lankan pair of Sangakkara and Dilshan.
1341 IST: Did you know? The last ODI at Motera was between India and West Indies on December 5, 2011. After scoring 260, West Indies were able to halt India 16 runs short. Rohit Sharma scored 95 in a losing cause in the match. He is currently out of the side due to injury.ÂÂ
1333 IST: OUT! Umesh strikes in first over, traps Kusal Perera LBW. The pacer was clearly getting some swing in that over and finally manages to find Perera's legs off the final delivery. The ball would have crashed into the leg stump. Sri Lanka 4/1.
© BCCI
1325 IST: India captain Virat Kohli reckons the Motera track will have a lot for spinners. "We would have batted first as well. Looking at the pitch, it is quite clear that it will have a lot more assistance for spinners than the Cuttack track."
1320 IST: Squads:
India: Dhawan, Rahane, Kohli, Rayudu, Raina, Saha, Jadeja, Ashwin, Akshar, Umesh and Ishant
Sri Lanka: Perera, Dilshan, Sangakkara, Jayawardene, Mathews, Priyanjan, Perera, Prasanna, Randiv, Prasad and Gamage
1310 IST: Toss! Angelo Matthews calls it right and he decides to bat first. Kusal Perera replaces Upul Tharanga while hosts India play Ravindra Jadeja in place of injured Varun Aaron.

Virat Kohli-led India will be starting as overwhelming favourites, having walloped the opponents by a massive 169 runs in the opening match at Cuttack on Sunday. India went into the series opener with their confidence boosted by back-to-back victories over West Indies at Delhi and Dharamsala, after a shock loss at Kochi in the series opener.
Coming on as last-minute substitutes after West Indies pulled out of the series due to a payment dispute with their Board, nothing went right for the Islanders, who had to leave behind their fitness training programme at home to get ready for this tour.
In Cuttack, India openers - Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan - put on a double century (231 run) stand, which also happened to be the third best for the country for the first wicket and was the platform for the tall total. Dhawan, incidentally, is 124 short of completing 2000 runs in this format.
Kohli has said he will bank on pacers and not spinners as India prepare for the 2015 World Cup. Ishant Sharma spearheaded the Indian attack in the opening ODI as he returned with his career-best four for 34. Varun Aaron has been declared unfit for today's game and the one after that on November 9 and has been replaced by Karnataka all rounder Stuart Binny.
