Yuvraj Singh made a powerful return to the national colours and though his efforts could not ensure a win for India against New Zealand in the second T20 on Tuesday, the south-paw said he had tears in his eyes while fielding. (Who is Yuvraj Singh?)
Returning to play for the country after recovering from cancer, the 30-year-old player bowled two overs for 14, took a catch and returned to strike two trademark sixes in his 26-ball 34. "I am happy, extremely happy. There were a few tears when I was fielding at the start of the first over. Thankfully, the camera did not catch it," he said after the match. Although he was dropped on 9 by Brendon McCullum, Yuvraj had the constant support of fans at Chepauk. This much like how his family and fans have been by him through his battle against cancer. "It's been a very emotional journey for me, my family. So I am happy that I am back on the field again."
