Sourav Ganguly has said that Yuvraj Singh is one of the finest Indian one-day cricket stars of all time. It was under Ganguly's captaincy that Yuvraj made his international debut in the ICC Champions Trophy at the Nairobi Gymkhana in October 2000.

In a recent chat with media, former India skipper Ganguly said India is a better side with the dashing left-hander batting at No. 4. Yuvraj has been picked for the upcoming one-off T20 and the first three ODIs versus the Australians at home.

Yuvraj has worked hard to make his comeback. After spending six weeks with a private trainer in central France, Yuvraj looks fit and raring to go. "He will make the Indian ODI team even stronger. He looks really, really fit. Yuvraj is one of India's best one-day players of all time. Him at No. 4 will strengthen India," said Ganguly.

Ganguly though did not sound too bullish about the chances of Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag making a return to India squad. Both India rejects failed to capitalise while playing for India A against West Indies A on Thursday, scoring 11 and 7, respectively.

"Sehwag, Gambhir will have to wait. At the end of the day, it's about performance. Yuvraj did well and got his chance. Only 11 can play and Shikhar (Dhawan), Rohit (Sharma) are doing well so Viru, Gautam have to keep performing," said Ganguly.

Ganguly, who has shared many a memorable ODI partnerships with Sachin Tendulkar as his opening partner, refuses to believe that the Master Blaster was being 'coerced to retire'. "These are all stories that Sachin is being pressurised to retire. Nobody can pressurise Sachin Tendulkar," he said with a smile.

Also, when asked that which venue will witness Sachin's 200th Test, Ganguly said "Whereever Sachin wants to play."

Ganguly also believes that India's much-awaited yet under-threat tour to South Africa will take place.

"It is between two Boards. Ultimately what is happening behind closed doors, nobody knows. Difficult for me to say anything. I'm sure at some stage the tour will go on.

"India has got a lot of tough cricket before the 2015 World Cup --- South Africa, New Zealand and England. Too early to predict a squad for the World Cup, we will see changes for sure," said Ganguly.
