Team India's new coach Duncan Fletcher will be here next week. "He has been invited to attend the selection committee meeting for the West Indies tour in Chennai on May 13," an Indian cricket board source said.
This will be Fletcher's first visit to this country after BCCI, in its working committee meeting on April 27, appointed him as Gary Kirsten's successor for a period of two years. "He is reaching Chennai on May 13 and will leave for SA the next day," the source added.
It is learnt that no senior players have opted for a break during the West Indies tour. "We presume all senior players are available for the tour. We are world champions and we don't want to be losers by sending a weak team," said an official. India will play one T20, five ODIs and three Test matches on a 38-day tour.
