Veteran India batsman VVS Laxman has reportedly not taken remarks of Mark Taylor too kindly after the former Australia skipper said that India's aging batsmen 'have enjoyed a free ride on flat home pitches.'
Laxman in a report published in Herald Sun said that he usually does not react to what others think. "That is the view point of Mark Taylor. am happy we have been able to perform in conditions and delivered everywhere except for England which was disastrous for various reasons," he was quoted as saying.
Contrary to Taylor's assessment of the Indian batting prowess, Laxman said that he has always enjoyed batting in Australia. "I think Australian surfaces are best for batting, I relish batting in such conditions. There is true bounce and you get value for your shots," he said. "I think the wickets are as good for Hussey and Ponting as us."
