Australia have dropped pacer Ryan Harris from their 13-member squad for the Commonwealth Games Tri-series matches, including the finals.
"James Pattinson is fit again and after impressive recent form in a Futures League match in Adelaide, comes into the squad at expense of Ryan Harris, who has been dropped," National Selector, John Inverarity, said.
Inverarity, however, said that Harris is very much in contention for the Test matches against the West Indies. "Ryan remains strongly in contention for selection for the Test matches on the VB Tour of the West Indies," he said.
Australia captain Michael Clarke is recovering well and hence no replacement for him has been announcedÂÂ
"Clarke is making a good recovery and is likely to resume on Friday. The selectors will consider adding an extra player to this squad for the Commonwealth Bank Series Finals matches, if conditions warrant it," he added.
SQUAD: Michael Clarke (Captain), Shane Watson (Vice-captain), Dan Christian, Xavier Doherty, Peter Forrest, Ben Hilfenhaus, David Hussey, Michael Hussey, Brett Lee, Clint McKay, James Pattinson, Matthew Wade, David Warner.
