Iconic English rock band -- Rolling Stones - got a taste of cricket's charm Down Under. In Adelaide on Monday, front man Mick Jagger and drummer Charlie Watts were given a tour of Bradman Museum and then introduced to the ICC World Cup trophy.
Known for their legendary music that has stood the test of time, Jagger and Watts had performed at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday. While their chartbusters had lit up the World Cup venue over the weekend, cricket made an emphatic return - the rockstars being given a private tour of Bradman museum by Sir Don's son, John.
The highlight though was when Jagger and Watts were shown the World Cup trophy. Wearing a maroon pullover, a stylish 71-year-old Jagger could not contain his child-like smile. That England have never won the trophy means he - like millions of fans back home - would be praying for the national team to succeed once the tournament starts in February next year.
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will see the world's top teams competing for cricket's biggest prize across 14 host cities in Australia and New Zealand. The two countries last hosted the tournament 23 years ago.
