Yuzvendra Chahal on Thursday took to Instagram to share a few pictures from his Sangeet ceremony where he and his wife Dhanashree Verma can be seen dancing together. The pictures shared by the leg-spinner also featured India teammate Shikhar Dhawan with both seen dancing together. "This years most interesting & energetic performances," Chahal captioned the pictures on Instagram. The couple got married last week and since then have been sharing their special wedding moments with their followers on social media.
The newly-wed couple are currently in Dubai and recently they were invited for a dinner by former India skipper MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi.
The couple had posted pictures on Instagram from their meeting with Dhoni and Sakshi, with Chahal captioning it as: "Extremely happy & blessed", while Dhanashree thanked them for their warm hospitality and "lovely dinner".
Like Chahal, Dhanashree also shared the pictures from Sangeet event on her Instagram account.
Praising the dance moves of her husband and Dhawan, she wrote: "@yuzi_chahal23 and @shikhardofficial absolutely nailed it".
Chahal, who is an important part of Indian team in white-ball cricket, last featured in the limited-overs series against Australia.
After faring below expectations in the ODI series, Chahal, coming on as a concussion substitute replacing Ravindra Jadeja, bowled a crucial spell as India defeated Australia in the first T20I.
He played in all three T20Is as India clinched the series 2-1 to wind up the limited-overs leg of the tour after having lost the ODI series by the same margin.
