While Pune Warriors' men were being marched towards victory against Delhi Daredevils by Sourav Ganguly, the team's former skipper Yuvraj Singh was celebrating and tweeting hairstyling tips to the man who was at the helm of things at the Feroze Shah Kotla.
Recuperating from a rare germ cell cancer, Yuvraj had proclaimed that he would be rooting for Pune in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. His team on the field gave him enough reasons to smile as Delhi batsmen fell in a heap with 20 runs still to get. While the win itself was appreciated, Yuvraj was at his jovial best when he began with his light-humoured tweets about 'Dada' and his hair while celebrating the success. "Well bowled dada! U need to put gel next time you take a wicket," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Ganguly claimed two wickets and scored 41 runs with the bat. His celebrations were full of emotions and at 39 years of age, had his hair disheveled in the middle of the jubilation. "Maybe I'll give my hair gel to him cause I haven't used it in last 3 months haha," wrote Yuvraj. (Related read: Yuvi to begin training 'in a week or two')
Others like Ramiz Raja chose to describe the match as a 'hair-raising experience' and while humour may have been the off-field flavour, Ganguly on the field was an epitome of sporting emotions as he took his team to the third spot in the points table, helping himself to the man-of-the-match award en route.
