We'll push for win: Johnson

Notwithstanding India's spirited reply, Australia paceman Mitchell Johnson on Monday said they will leave no stone unturned in making life tough for the hosts in the remaining two days of the second Test.

India reduced the deficit to just 43 runs by making 435 for five, replying to Australia's 478.

Johnson said they would do everything to push for a series-levelling win at M Chinnaswamy stadium.

"Overall, we are still ahead on the score board and managed to get couple of wickets today. Hope we could get some more wickets in the first hour tomorrow and bat very well for some big total on board," Johnson, who was the most successful bowler with three wickets, said after day's play.

The left-arm bowler said hoped the wearing pitch would assist them.

"We will push hard as much as we can. In Mohali we were looking to win. On the wicket here today ball kept low and some deliveries jumped up as well. With two days to go the pitch might be breaking up more and more as the match goes on.

"We will go that extra mile and push ourselves very hard for a win. Obviously we got to really bat very well tomorrow and then fight hard on the last day to win the Test match and square the series," he said.

Johnson said bowling in sub-continent conditions was tough but relished bowling to batting great Sachin Tendulkar.

"It is a tough bowling in sub continent conditions in Test matches. Tendulkar has got 14,000 runs and it is pretty tough to bowl to him. Bowling to such great batsmen is always a great feeling and carries lot of challenges with it.

"It is not disheartening that we could not get his wicket. We stuck to our game plans. We did not have any luck."
