Venugopal (32) has posted his highest innings in the second edition of the IPL, eclipsing the 28 against Mumbai Indians at Centurion Park.
Symonds and Venugopal Rao were involved in a 95-run fifth wicket partnership, equalling the previous best in the IPL. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Badrinath were associated in a 95-run stand for Chennai vs Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai last year.
Kings XI Punjab have won all their three IPL games against Deccan Chargers. Their first two wins were by 7 wickets at Hyderabad and by 6 wickets at Mohali last year.
Kings XI Punjab's three-wicket triumph is their fifth in the second edition of the IPL.
Deccan Chargers' aforesaid defeat is the fourth in nine games.
Adam Gilchrist's runs tally in the IPL is 691 at an average of 31.40. The said tally is bettered only by Suresh Raina (717) and Gautam Gambhir (693).
Jayawardene has been adjudged the MOM award for the third time in the IPL.
