# Yuvraj Singh's 42 off 64 balls is his best innings against New Zealand in India, eclipsing the 29 not out at Chennai on October 23, 2003.
 
# For the first time against New Zealand, Yuvraj has bagged three wickets apart from posting a 40-plus in the same match.
 
# New Zealand, during their total of 236, have lost all ten wickets to catches.  The said feat has happened for the 14th time in the history of ODIs.
 
# Since nine Indian batsmen were caught by New Zealanders, a record for 19 catches in an ODI has been established, eclipsing the 18 between Sri Lanka and Pakistan at Colombo (PSS) on March 30, 1986.

# Jamie How, as a fielder, has recorded his best performance. His tally of four catches has bettered his tally of three against West Indies at Wellington on January 7, 2009.
 
# Of the five instances of four catches in an innings by New Zealanders fielders, four have been registered against India - Ken Rutherford, Chris Harris, Ross Taylor and Jamie How. Stephen Fleming achieved the feat against England at Adelaide on January 23, 2007.
 
# How became the third fielder to take four catches or more in an innings in India, joining South Africa's Jonty Rhodes (five) - against West Indies at Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium on November 14, 1993 and Pakistan's Younus Khan against India at Jamshedpur on April 9, 2005.
 
# Taylor and Williamson were involved in a stand of 67 for the third wicket - the highest by any pair against India at this venue.

# McCullum and Mills have posted the second fifty-plus partnership (67) for the ninth wicket against India - the highest is 83 between Mills and Southee at Christchurch on March 8, 2009.
 
# The above partnership is the highest by any pair against India for the ninth wicket in India, eclipsing the 65 by Wayne Parnell and Dale Steyn for South Africa at Jaipur on February 21, 2010.
