Abraham de Villiers' tenth hundred in 50 Tests in South Africa is his 19th in Tests overall. De Villiers is one of the four South Africans to have recorded five hundreds vs Australia in Tests - the other three being Graeme Pollock, Eddie Barlow and Jacques Kallis. # De Villiers has registered six Test hundreds as wicketkeeper - three vs Pakistan, two vs Australia and one vs India.Â His tally of six hundreds in 20 Tests is a record by a South African wicketkeeper in Tests, bettering Mark Boucher's tally of five in 146 Tests.
# De Villiers has been a consistent performer since January 2008, completing 5000 runs - his aggregate being 5009 at an average of 64.21 in 58 Tests, including sixteen hundreds. Amongst the batsmen with 4,000 runs or more since January 2008, his average is the highest.
# In his last twelve Tests, de Villiers has amassed 1361 runs at an average of 80.05, including six hundreds and six fifties.
# Jean-Paul Duminy (123) has registered his third Test hundred - his second vs Australia - a career-best 166 at Melbourne in December 2008.Â Â During his century knock, he has also completed his 1,000 runs in 23 Tests - 1046 at an average of 34.86, including three centuries and five fifties.
# Duminy's last Test hundred was 103 vs New Zealand at Wellington in March 2012.
# Duminy (123 off 231 balls) has recorded his highest score in Tests in South Africa, obliterating the 73 not out vs Australia at Durban in March 2009.
# Villiers and Duminy were involved in a stand of 149 - South Africa's second highest for the sixth wicket vs Australia - the highest being 200 between Graeme Pollock and Tiger Lance at Durban in February 1970.
# The aforesaid partnership is a sixth-wicket record at St.George's Park, Port Elizabeth, obliterating the 131 between Faf du Plessis and Dean Elgar vs New Zealand in January 2013.
# Shaun Marsh's second duck vs South Africa is his fifth in Tests.
# Nathan Lyon's first five-wicket haul vs South Africa is his fifth in Tests.Â His tally includes four instances in overseas Tests.
# After 56 years, a spinner has captured five wickets in an innings at this venue.Â Richie Benaud had claimed 5 for 82 for Australia vs South Africa in February/March 1958.
