Sachin Tendulkar missed the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Deccan Chargers due to an injured finger which did not heal in time.
The Master Blaster posted a picture of his injured finger on Twitter and wrote: "Finger still not looking good. Had to aspirate blood from my finger twice in 4 days."
The legendary batsman had hurt his finger in the first match of the Indian Premier League Season 5 against Chennai Super Kings.
It was the fifth ball of the ninth over when Tendulkar, batting on 15 got a short ball from Bollinger. It climbed on to him and it hit one of the green patches and reared up uncomfortably. Tendulkar could just fend it off as it hit him on the glove.
The iconic batsman however faced the next delivery and got a single to go onto 16. However at the end of the over, he sought medical attention. But after being advised to retire, Tendulkar was seen returning to the dug-out looking inconsiderable pain. He had scored 16 off 15 balls with a four and a six off Albie Morkel.
He had missed the next game against Sourav Ganguly-led Pune Warriors that Mumbai lost by 28 runs.
