CM Gautam's 43 dismissals this season is also a national record for most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in any season. He went past Rohit Motwani's 42 dismissals this season established on Saturday in the final.

Gautam has joined the four other wicketkeepers who have affected 40-plus dismissals in one season - Motwani (42 in 2013-14); Uday Kaul (41 in 2012-13); Aditya Tare (41 in 2012-13) and VR Samanth (40 in 2009-09).

Karnataka defeated Maharashtra by seven wickets in Hyderabad to win their seventh Ranji Trophy title.
