Kolkata:
"Match-fixing should not occur. That is what I feel. I know match-fixing is not desirable in any discipline of matches," Kapil said.
"I don't know much about match-fixing and have no idea what the government is thinking about it," he told reporters on the sidelines of a programme at Barisha in the southern outskirts of Kolkata.
Expressing joy at India's win against Australia in the Mohali Test, the former skipper said, "I watched the match with bated breath. It was a nail-biting finish. I was tense while watching."
Commenting on India's gold rush in the Commonwealth Games even while the cricket team was carving out victory in Mohali, the former skipper said, "Two great wins are there, but there should be no comparison."
"I wish India win more gold medals in CWG and there should be overall development of all disciplines of sports in the country," he said.Â
