MS Dhoni's India Hold Statistical Edge Over Zimbabwe

Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Indian side are making their third trip to Zimbabwe in the last four years. This short series of three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals gives the youngsters in the side a chance to shine. On the other hand, Zimbabwe have struggled in ODIs in the last couple of years and with the recent sacking of Hamilton Masakadza and Dav Whatmore, their struggles will only increase.

Over the last couple of years, India have dominated Zimbabwe in ODIs. On their previous two tours, they whitewashed Zimbabwe 5-0 and 3-0 and they will be aiming for a hat-trick of whitewashes. Here is the statistical breakdown of India's domination of Zimbabwe.

9 - India's current winning streak in ODIs against Zimbabwe. Their last defeat against them was in Harare on June 3, 2010 and since then, they have whitewashed Zimbabwe in two subsequent series.

3 - The number of victories that Zimbabwe have achieved in the last two years in ODIs. In 11 matches, they have only won against Afghanistan. Their last victory against an established nation was against New Zealand in Harare in 2015.

322 - The most number of runs scored by a batsman in the current Zimbabwe squad. Elton Chigumbura averages 64.4 with one fifty and one century. In the 2015 series, he was the only Zimbabwe batsman to score a century against India in the series.
