Justice Lodha Committee to Submit its Report to BCCI, Supreme Court on January 4
The Justice Lodha committee, who had earlier sought an extension in July, was given a final deadline of December 31 by the Supreme Court to complete their report.
The Justice Rajendra Mal Lodha panel that proposed the two-year suspension of Indian Premier League franchisees Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, is ready with the final report and will be submitting their findings to the Supreme Court on January 4.  (RM Lodha Committee Seeks Five Months More to Propose Changes in BCCI's Governance)
The Lodha committee, who had earlier sought an extension in July, was given a final deadline of December 31 by the Supreme Court to complete their report.
The three-member panel which also consists of Justice Ashok Bhan and Justice RV Raveendran will first submit the report to the court and to the Board of Control for Cricket in India, before making it public at a media conference.
The Lodha committee's primary objective was to recommend amendments to the process of the BCCI so that they become more responsive to the expectations of the public at large.
"Our report will be a role model to world cricket. We examined cricket model in Australia and football model of FIFA," Justice Lodha told NDTV.
BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur and IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla had deposed before the Lodha Commission in September on the possible reforms that the board is expected to carry out once the second part of report is released.
The report's findings are important considering that the panel's suggestions would be binding upon the BCCI.
