Friday was a historic day for cricket in many ways. While in Nagpur, India were on the brink of breaking South Africa's enviable overseas Test record, at Adelaide Oval, the first Day-Night Test played with a pink ball started with a bang.
So the first Official D/N ODI happened on the the 27 Nov 1979 and the first D/N Test match starts on the 27 Nov 2015.......#coincidence?

#DayNightTest was trending on top on Twitter as users welcomed the new format of Test matches with their excitement through Tweets.
Josh Hazlewood earned the distinction of picking the first-ever Test wicket with the pink ball when he dismissed Martin Guptill in the fourth over of the first day of the Adelaide Test.
Friday also had an emotional touch. Last year, the death of Phillip Hughes plunged cricket into gloom and raised questions on the game's security aspects.
