The feisty Punjab bowler, who tormented the best batsmen across the world, is likely to return to Ranji Trophy cricket after the wedding. The 35-year-old Harbhajan, who was recently part of India's ODI squad against South Africa, has 710 international wickets.
Harbhajan, often controversial for his aggressive attitude on the field, is among a rare crop of bowlers to have taken 417 wickets in 103 Tests. However, he will not be part of the first two Tests against South Africa. The first Test starts in Mohali on November 5.
Geeta Basra was born in Portsmouth, UK in March 1984. She made her Bollywood debut in 2006 in an Emraan Hashmi-starrer Dil Diya Hai. The pair did their second movie - The Train, together in 2007. Basra's career has been confined to music videos. Like Harbhajan, she has interests in film production.
Harbhajan and Basra's romance has largely been a private affair even after being seen in public many times. The wedding rituals are already attracting a lot of attention with several former India players like Parthiv Patel and RP Singh attending the mehendi, sangeet and ring exchange ceremonies.
