Left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha starred with ball picking up three wickets while Amit Mishra, who made a comeback to the national team for Sri Lanka tour next month, went wicketless on Day 2. Australia A batsman Peter Handscomb scored an unbeaten fifty while Marcus Stoinis looked strong in the middle.

17:50: That's the close of play on Day 2. Australia A are 185 for four in 58 overs and trail India A by 116 runs. Aussie batsmen Peter Handscomb (75*) and Marcus Stoinis (42*) fought back to revive the innings with an unbroken 110-run stand for the fifth wicket. This, after Pragyan Ojha reduced them to 75 for four.
17:18: Peter Handscomb brings up his fifty while Marcus Stoinis looks solid in the middle. The duo has put on 82 runs for the fifth wicket. Aussies now trail by 144 runs.
16:38: Both Indian spinners look in prime form. Amit Mishra is being miserly with 19 runs in 11 overs and Ojha with his three wickets have been lethal.

11:05: India 'A' go past 250, it's been slow progress from Shankar and Mishra but the Australians haven't been able to produce a breakthrough this morning.
10:30: The partnership carries on. The pair has now added 22-runs from the morning and India 'A' look all set to go past 250.

On Day 1 after winning the toss, Pujara opted to bat. India 'A' lost opener Abhinav Mukund early but Rahul (96 off 185 balls) and Pujara (55 off 122) held the innings together with a 107-run stand. (Match Report Day 1)
The tourists fought back by dismissing both the set batsmen and then toppling Karun Nair and Shreyas Iyer. While Nair was out for a duck, Iyer made an attacking 39.
Andrew Fekete and Steve O' Keefe took wickets each for the visitors on day when 77.1 overs were bowled due to rain towards the end of day's play.
